In this database, the frozen and canned fish and shellfish products are listed alphabetically. The products that are listed as fresh may have been frozen. The values in the table represent the quantity of food energy, protein, fat, and omega-3 fatty acids (n-3 fatty acids) per 100 grams of edible portion. The data presented herein are from the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, Release 21 (U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service. 2008. The database serves as a convenient way for the consumer to easily and quickly find out the amount of omega-3 fatty acids that are present in fish and fish products.
